FlowGuard

Why is FlowGuard suited to retrofit applications?

FlowGuard provides a decentralised approach to stormwater management that is fully compatible with our stormwater conveyance system, AtlanChannel, and integrates seamlessly into existing strip drains and stormwater pits.

Designed for direct installation in 300mm wide grated drains with a minimum depth of 450mm, FlowGuard is ideal for at-source stormwater treatment, with each module running 1 metre in length. Our latest designs also support installation in stormwater pits, further enhancing FlowGuard’s versatility, cost-efficiency, and modular functionality.

By converting conventional drainage infrastructure into stormwater treatment assets, FlowGuard conserves the function of existing assets while providing additional pollution removal capabilities – improving water quality outcomes, enhancing sustainability, and supporting on-site compliance objectives.

A key advantage of FlowGuard is the ability to support retrofit projects, where there is limited footprint for new devices. In these scenarios, space, access and construction constraints create installation challenges for conventional stormwater infrastructure. FlowGuard overcomes these with a compact site footprint that can be integrated into existing site drainage.

Modern development is supported by flexible, scalable and adaptable stormwater management infrastructure. Retrofit solutions like FlowGuard provide a cost-efficient approach to upgrading existing developments to deliver cleaner waterways. By leveraging existing drainage systems, these assets can be scaled to suit changing catchment requirements with minimal site disruptions and simplified installation schedules.
