FlowFilter: Joining Atlan’s TAPE Certified Range

Announcing our latest verification for 2025, FlowFilter joins our certified devices through the Washington State Department of Ecology TAPE program (Technology Assessment Protocol – Ecology), America’s leading protocol for validating stormwater device performance.

FlowFilter joins WSDOE’s list of approved technologies with verification for the following treatment categories –

  • Basic treatment (total suspended solids)
  • Phosphorus treatment

Joining AtlanFilter’s TAPE verification in July, FlowFilter has met the Conditional Use Level Designation (CULD) for both categories.

AtlanFilter’s previous TAPE assessment also listed our high-performance filter cartridge system under the Pilot Use Level Designation (PULD) for the treatment of dissolved metals.

These tertiary treatment assets enhance water quality outcomes and support sustainable development. Bridging the gap between economics and our environment, they capture pollution at the source – our urban catchments.

We believe clean waterways are a right, not a privilege, and work as Zero Pollution Ambassadors to ensure Joy in Water for you, with your family and friends. We look forward to assisting our global network in implementing high-performance water quality assets to support the health of our shared lakes, rivers, and seas.

High-Performance Tertiary Filtration for Constrained Sites

Featuring 100-year fibreglass design life, FlowFilter is a specialist water quality device that reduces the footprint of tertiary filtration on constrained sites. A versatile stormwater solution, it is available in a range of filter configurations, flow rates, and can also be housed in concrete.

The FlowFilter utilises an up-flow filtration process with internal filter cartridges to enhance water quality, with minimal head drop requirements ensuring its suitability for flat sites and low-gradient developments.

Easily adapted for new developments or retrofit projects, it is an economical, effective, and tertiary treatment device for meeting your project’s water quality requirements.

Available in both offline and custom-designed inline systems for a wide range of applications, the FlowFilter is a scalable solution with variable filter configurations to treat 2.5 to 156 LPS (0.66 to 41.21 gallons per second).

The FlowFilter’s TAPE approval joins its existing SQIDEP (Stormwater Quality Improvement Device Protocol) verification, Stormwater Australia’s framework for the uniform field-testing, evaluation, and reporting of stormwater device performance.

The device’s SQIDEP verified treatment efficiencies include 95% Total Suspended Solids (TSS), 93% Total Phosphorus (TP), 45% Total Nitrogen (TN), 90% Lead (Pb), 53% Zinc (Zn), and 100% Gross Pollutants (GP).

Our commitment to verifying the performance of our water quality range drives best practice, ensures transparent product data, and helps project stakeholders select stormwater assets that support sustainability, project value, and cleaner waterways.

The research, development, and testing of our devices is part of our goal to develop better stormwater outcomes and support thriving urban spaces and global communities. By supporting the research and development of high-performance stormwater devices, we ensure Joy in Water experiences for future generations.
