Capturing pollutants and separating hydrocarbons from stormwater runoff are key strategies for environmental compliance on low, medium and high-risk sites – which include refuelling yards, service stations, transport depots and industrial hardstand.
Installing separator devices to meet water quality objectives on these projects is imperative to preventing contamination of receiving waterways and groundwater by various contaminants, including fuels, light liquids, hydraulic fluids, and coolants.
Our locally manufactured range of fibreglass oily water separator devices includes Spillceptor, Flowceptor and Triceptor – which all feature 100-year design life, 25-year warranty, and high-performance hydrocarbon capture. Atlan’s line-up of separator devices can meet engineering requirements for a full range of risk scenarios, including high-risk treatment capabilities on sites to guarantee hydrocarbon capture in all flows and spill conditions.
Oily water separators treat incoming stormwater, allowing light liquids to rise to the surface for capture and for remaining clean water to move through the bottom of the separator.
These devices are equipped with coalescer units to enhance the removal of hydrocarbons. These units allow any smaller oil particles that escape initial separation to ‘agglomerate’. This process merges smaller particles and forms larger globules, enhancing gravity-based filtration.

Spillceptor®
HIGH RISK SITES
Spillceptor® is a full retention oily water separator that treats all flows. Designed for high-risk sites to contain more than the anticipated maximum oil spillage, it complies with European Standard BS EN 858-1 with a water discharge quality of less than 5mg light liquids per litre. Its design incorporates an ACD (Automatic Closure Device) and oil probe, which enables the safe containment of oil spills – important features on sites with risks such as tanker spills or transformer rupture.

Flowceptor®
LOW-MEDIUM RISK SITES
Flowceptor is an oily water separator for low to medium-risk applications, such as car parks, industrial hardstand and transport depots, which can be designed to bypass excess flows to meet hydraulic specifications. With a two-chamber design and availability in inline and offline configurations, Flowceptor is a versatile treatment device that meets engineering requirements for a wide range of catchment sizes, flow rates and treatment requirements.

Triceptor
MIXED HIGH &
LOW TO MEDIUM-RISK SITES
Triceptor is a device that combines Flowceptor and Spillceptor in one unit to offer a treatment option for sites with both high-risk and low to medium-risk catchments. This innovative design incorporates the fuel containment capability of the Spillceptor and the treatment quality and high flow bypass functions of the Flowceptor in one device.
