Atlan Stormwater’s precast concrete detention range (including AtlanVault and MegaVault) is fabricated from high-quality, precast 50MPa concrete and features robust reinforcement to enhance structural strength.
Modular precast OSD tanks are delivered ready to install – and are immediately truck-trafficable after installation and backfill. This maintains site accessibility and suits progressive installations and retrofits, where the ability to backfill promptly is essential to ongoing works and project plans.
Our range of trafficable underground OSD systems extends beyond precast solutions, and also includes HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) and PP (Polypropylene) polymer alternatives such as AtlanCube, AtlanFlow, and AtlanChamber.
Our entire stormwater detention & retention range can be designed to meet AS5100 loading standards with appropriate installation specifications. Engineering provisions for trafficability include using appropriate backfill, meeting minimum cover depths, and any concrete slab requirements.
The trafficability of our precast OSD tanks makes them ideal for installation beneath a wide range of infrastructure, including hardstand, transport depots, driveways, car parks, and roads. Engineered for class-D loading, W80 wheel loading, and SM1600 axle loading, we provide engineering and design for higher loads upon request.
In trafficable applications, MegaVault can be engineered with cover ranges from 200mm to 3000mm, and can accommodate detailed design requirements such as asphalt and concrete pavement.
In comparison, most above-ground systems, such as basins, ponds, and tanks located above site level, are not trafficable and are often fenced off from access or landscaped in a way that prevents vehicle use.
