Designs incorporate <a href=\"https:\/\/atlanstormwater.com\/au\/gross-pollutant-traps\/\">gross pollutant trap (GPT) systems<\/a> to capture urban pollution from stormwater runoff, preventing its conveyance downstream, and significantly reducing pollutant loads entering the wetland, sediment basin, and drainage network.<\/p><p>Two <a href=\"https:\/\/atlanstormwater.com\/au\/vortceptor\/\">Vortceptor<\/a> devices will facilitate Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) across the residential catchment. This dual installation will capture a variety of pollutants, which include litter, debris, and plastic pollution. The larger SVO1200 will pretreat incoming flows before they reach the nearby sediment pond at the top of the wetlands. On the eastern side, an SVO220 will cover a smaller catchment.<\/p><p>Locally manufactured in Atlan&#8217;s fibreglass production facilities, the Vortceptor features a 100-year FRP (fibre-reinforced polymer) design life. Custom precast diversion chambers, also produced locally in our concrete production facilities, accompanied both GPT installations.<\/p><p>The Vortceptor has been tested and verified through Stormwater Australia\u2019s SQIDEP (Stormwater Quality Improvement Device Evaluation Protocol). This rigorous program checks that stormwater devices meet their stated pollution removal benchmarks and perform in accordance with council requirements.<\/p><p>Vortceptor\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/atlanstormwater.com\/au\/vortceptor-sqidep-verified\/\">SQIDEP verified<\/a> removal efficiencies include 93% Total Suspended Solids (TSS), 86% Total Phosphorus (TP), 49% Total Nitrogen (TN), and 100% Gross Pollutants. The innovative design of this device uses a hydrodynamic vortex treatment action and stainless-steel screens for high-performance pollution removal.<\/p><p>Providing a comprehensive stormwater solution for Aberdeen Estate, Atlan Stormwater enhanced project outcomes across design, manufacture, logistics and installation. Our experienced team met expectations with a fast four-day installation program. The project was seamless and smooth, and both installations effectively overcame challenges which included groundwater management.<\/p><p>AltanFlow SN8 HDPE Pipe, ranging from 225mm to 375mm, was also delivered to meet the demands of on-site stormwater conveyance. Providing single-supplier convenience and ease of supply, packaging this HDPE pipe with the other stormwater assets helped to reduce management overheads and improve project logistics.<\/p><p>AtlanFlow features lower lifting requirements and easy on-site handling compared to alternative pipe systems such as Reinforced Concrete Pipe (RCP). 100% recyclable, pre-slung and pre-bundled, this pipe system reduces installation timelines and increases sustainability.<\/p><p>These tailored stormwater solutions will safeguard local wetlands and wider Ballarat catchment.
